globalovermind is a collective. a neo-socialist conglomeration of system administrators, programmers, webmasters, students and assorted other information workers (and thier vouched for associates).

we believe that we can create a server-based community not unlike a small town bbs. unlike many virtual communities we are not anonymous to each other. we know who each other are, what they look like, where they live, how they dress, what their real names are, what their pets are, and what they like to read.

we also don't believe this is public information. we respect individual privacy. we tend to abhor the general direction large, faceless ISPs/telco's are taking the net. so, we believe that we can share our skills and create a higher level of service for each other than what the ISPs are willing to give us.
